A sincere attempt has been made within the limited scope of a few pages of this
web site to furnish you with as much information as possible, concerning the academic
entity of New Science College, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, to enable you to take one of
your most crucial decisions, the 'where',' what, and 'how' of the academic career
of your ward, the impact of which would be nothing less than the destiny in an known
future
New Science College, Ameerpet, Hyderabad is primarily a national institution holding
secular and democratic values. We affirm our faith in the universal brotherhood
of mankind and the fatherhood of one God. The aim of the college is to develop the
best that is latent in youth and to prepare them for the challenges of the changing
world through encouragement of self discipline, high intellectual achievements and
physical fitness. The motto of the college is "Truth, Trust and Triumph". The college
has built up a tradition which incorporates in its milieu all that is universally
good in thought, word and deed. The secular and ethical values are cherished and
an atmosphere prevails where every creed and faith is allowed to flourish. The students
are educated in a way that permits them to grow up without inhibition and prejudice
in any form.
The ideals enshrined in the constitution of the land are meticulously observed.
To be precise, a deep sense of patriotism, loyalty to the motherland, values of
all culture and the need for practical ethics in public life are inculcated in them
from the time of their joining.
Education is a continuous process by which a generation is prepared for the future
by providing as many opportunities as possible to develop every aspect of personality,
in order to sustain the time tested institutions which maintain law, order and harmony
in the world.
The aim of this website is to convey as far as possible the essence of New Science
College, Ameerpet, Hyderabad, which pursues an academic procedure with a view to
ensuring excellence in curricular and co-curricular activities.
Each and every student receives individual and personal attention and the maximum
comforts possible. It is our endeavor to make education a purposeful, meaningful
and enjoyable experience.

CORRESPONDENT’S REPORT[ADD IN FOREWORD, FIRST THE CORRESPONDENT AND THEN THE PRINCIPAL]
PRINCIPAL
The lunching of the institution website provides me an opportunity to present a
profile on the evolution of the NEW SCIENCE COLLEGE, AMEERPET, in terms of its genesis,
its birth and its growth.
At the outset, I consider it a prilivage to congratulate and commend the thousands
of students who passed out the portals of our College over a span of 39 years. The
college has the prilivage of shaping their careers and moulding their personalities,
most of them occupying positions of importance both in India and abroad.
I am proud of them, and on this happy occasion I wish all our old students the very
best in life. This bears ample testimony to the fact that our institution stands
for high academic status and discipline. This is the outcome of the vision of stalwarts
like Dr. G S Melkote, Sri C Sudershan and the present Chairman Sri C Jagannatha
Rao and the devotion of the Principals and staff.
The evolution of our college has its ups and downs, as is the case with any private
college. We had to move from darkness to light, from despair to hope. We had to
pass through great ordeals to make our College what it is today.
1970 marked the birth of the College under the dynamic leadership of the Late Sri
Hari Lakshmi Pathi, the founder principal and one of the founder members of Nutan
Vidya Samithi. I have no hesitation to say that he stood like a pillar of strength
in locating an ideal place and suitable Building for the college, in establishing
laboratories, in securing ad-hoc grants from the State Government and, above all
in looking after the administration of the college in a disciplined and effective
way. Since 1977 the College has had a host of Principals, in-charge Principals,
the present in-charge Principal being Mr C Lokesh Babu who have extended their whole-hearted
support and Co-operation in the march of the evolution.
It may be mentioned here that the College was admitted into Grant-in-aid in 1977.
However, some courses subsequently introduced at the under-graduate level remain
unaided and these are self-supporting.
Our college has now 1000 students on its rolls at the Intermediate and Under Graduate
levels. The present staff strength is 60. Today, the college can boast of a four
storied building of its own with all the requisite infrastructure.
Moving on the sphere of Co-curricular activities, I am happy to state that the performance
of our boys has been impressive. They have won Inter-College competitions in sports
and games. Further, some of our boys had the honour of representing the Inter-University
tournaments.
We know that men may come and men may go but the institution remain forever. We
also know that we have miles to go before we reach our goal. The college has reached
a significant milestone with the completion of 25 years and the next milestone –
The Golden Jubilee lies 11 years ahead. It is my hope and prayer that the college
will grow more and more in status and serve, in year to come, as a centre of Higher
Education with a wide spectrum of disciplines.
I would like to conclude by acknowledging the goodwill I have been able to amass
from Colleges of the Management, the present and the former Principals, staff and
Students, Parents and the Public, in the discharge of my duties as the Secretary
of Nutan vidya Samithi.
