The school was founded by Late Raja Maheshgiri and Hardikar and got amalgamated
with Nutan Vidhya Samithi in the year 1957. It has been meeting the educational
needs of Hindi speaking community for fifty years. The school provides education
for students from Class I to Class X by offering stimulating and creative academic
programe in a caring environment.It aims to create the best learning environment
for young people and to prepare them for all aspects of their future life beyond
school level. It is going through a period of rapid expansion which will continue
in the coming few years.
The school is concentrated in the heart of Hindi speaking area of Begum Bazar. It
was started with 5th to 7th standard and later it was upgraded to High school. In
1959, multi-purpose school was started with Humanities, Commerce, BPC and M PC syllabi.The
school is well equipped with laboratories in Physics, Chemistry, Botany and Zoology
and a well set Library. Apart from imparting knowledge, physical and co-curricular
activities are also included.The students are provided excellent training in P T,
Scout D S, and Red Cross.The school strives to promote intellectual excellence,
uprightness of character, emotional maturity, scientific temperament, spirit of
healthy competition,co-operation, participation and accountability and sportsmanship
through co-curricular activities, moral sensitivity to the needs and rights of others
especially, the poor, religious tolerance, communal harmony and national integration.
This school is Government Aided. The Society is also starting an Un-aided section
to provide schooling in medium of English in a separate new constructed building.
The Hindi medium School offers schooling from Kindergarten to Standard Ten. The
Private School is also offering English Medium Schooling from Kindergarten to Standard
Ten and will be functional from 2010. The Built up area of this school is 7000 Sft.
would be available by January 2010. The Building for aided and Un-aided are different.
The aided infrastructure is free for offering new courses after 4PM every day.
N C C was started in 1968 and was permitted into Andhra Battalion, in which they
were trained in shooting under the able guidance of Shri Balanag Rao Patalle.
In 1968 – 69, Former Prime Minister Late P V Narasimha Rao, the then education minister
visited the school for Annual Day celebrations.
Today, LMG High School enjoys an enhanced reputation as a popular and thriving Hindi
medium school with strength of over 750.It has maintained an esteemed position in
the Hindi medium schools in the locality. It is known as one of the best co-education
schools in the area.
